We have kept everything original to the house as much as possible, which means our space is very unique and smaller than most restaurants you’ve probably been to – our kitchen is smaller than most residential kitchens! With such limited space, we run things a bit differently to be sure that you have a great time here! We are counter-service with waitstaff, so you order and pay at the counter BEFORE finding a table where we will serve you! Having everyone order and pay first means that our limited number of tables are not held up waiting for orders to be taken or checks to be brought out, so even if we are very busy, there WILL be a table available by the time you have ordered. Operating this way, it is very rare that we should ever have to wait for a table to open. For this reason we ask that you please do not reserve tables while the rest of your party is in line.

The Manor House Estate was the elegant home of J. Luther Snyder, the most famous of Chetola’s owners. Snyder purchased Chetola Estate in 1926. Also known as “the Coca Cola King of the Carolinas,” Snyder’s wife held frequent celebrations and parties that were the talk of Blowing Rock in the 1930s and 1940s.

On July 28, 2012, Chetola officially opened Timberlake’s Restaurant in the historical building, with a menu inspired by world-renowned North Carolina artist and designer Bob Timberlake’s culinary favorites. The restaurant features three dining rooms, an intimate wine room and waterfront dining on the Patio. The charming and warmly outfitted Headwaters Pub is just inside Timberlake’s main entrance.

In 1955, two Georgia neighbors opened up a restaurant that would change the world. Paul Alcazar and Jocelyn Yost are the owners and operators of Bodegas, and you can often find one of them in the restaurant at any given time. Paul’s father was from Cuba, and Paul had a great love and appreciation for Cuban food while he was growing up. Paul had always dreamed of opening his own restaurant, and when he and Jocelyn discovered Banner Elk, and the recently renovated Eagles Nest Marketplace, they decided to take the plunge and open Bodegas. He has now turned his dream into a reality, and Bodegas is loved by locals and visitors alike.

I grew up in Charlotte, NC, and was lucky enough to have Pasta & Provisions in my neighborhood. As a child I was amazed by the fact that when you stopped by, you always saw people making things. This wasn’t food made by machines in a drab factory somewhere far away. It was made with a lot of pride by people in my neighborhood. I moved to Boone to attend Appalachian State, and started working at Stick Boy Bread Company. I noticed many of the same things that I had seen at Pasta & Provisions-that same commitment to quality, from the ingredients to the methods to caliber of the staff. It seemed logical that a town that loved pastries and great bread could use a pasta shop! Next came sandwiches, craft beer, and fine wine. I thought everything was set….until the space next door to us became available. A casual mention to two friends who had been thinking of opening a brewery led to us becoming the tasting room for Booneshine Brewing Company. On July 1, 2015 we poured the first pint of Booneshine IPA! Booneshine has since moved on to a much larger space, needing more room to produce fresh craft beer.

Download a book instantaneously. Bills can be viewed and paid (or ignored) with the click of a button. Order a cheeseburger from a person on the other side of a machine and it’s ready in under two minutes (if the line is short enough). There are few aspects of our lives that have been untouched by this ever-present supply of immediate gratification.

So it is no great mystery that BBQ, the ritual of cooking with fire and smoke, is such a highly sought-after prize. It is the driving source of endless competitions, timeless arguments over what is right and what is wrong, and innumerable quests to find the “very best version.” It is a simple matter, putting a metal box or grate over some fire and letting smoke do its work. But there is more to bbq than just cooking meat. Hoppy Trout Brewing Company is a brewpub located in Andrews, NC. We opened New Year’s Day of 2016, so we were literally the first brewery to open in NC in 2016. All our beer is brewed on premise which we sell in our pub with some self distribution in immediate area. We brew 1 BBL(barrel) batches at a time, 31 gallons, which classifies us as a nano brewery. We also offer a full-service pizza restaurant featuring a handmade Sicilian style brick oven.

The small batch approach to beer production allows us to take risks with flavors. We are constantly rotating our tap list with new experimental beers as well as maintaining a few flagships we try to always keep on tap. There is nothing we won’t put in beer. We have used the hottest peppers in the world, Himalayan sea salt, and even cake batter. We do our best to source local ingredients when available. We give a local farmer all our spent grain to feed his pigs.

Tim and Crystal Decker opened Smoky Mountain Bakers and Wood Fired Pizza in Roan Mountain, Tennessee in 2009. Family owned and operated, the couple took their artisan approach (refined for over a decade at their bakery in northern California) to create mouthwatering baked goods. Operating out of a renovated barn built in the mid-1900’s at the back of their property, Tim and Crystal offer a variety of specialty pastries made from scratch and fresh artisan breads and pizzas cooked in their wood fired brick oven, which was built by Tim with help from his sons and family friends.

Phil’s Bar-B-Que Pit… has been providing a place for friends and family to gather & enjoy quality bar-b-que in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Phil’s Bar-B-Que uses only the choicest cuts of meat, rubbed with our special blend of seasoning & slowly smoked with hickory hardwoods, served with your choice of our five homemade bar-b-que sauces.

We make nearly everything from scratch, we select our own produce from the WNC Farmer’s Market, and we grill the best burgers in town! We have six local draft beers as well as a great selection of bottled beer and wine. Chef’s Menu additions are ever-changing, and we have a kids menu too!

Hatched as a grand idea between sets at a late night gig, musicians and former band mates Andy Gibbon and Josh Gibbs decided they should provide the Asheville area with truly delicious, locally roasted, organic coffee.

After rolling up their sleeves and hammering out a solid plan, they settled on the cozy, yet world-class town of Black Mountain, North Carolina as their base of operations. From their coffee bar/roasting facility set up in an incredibly inviting 1950’s craftsman style home, they are now making their coffee available to the world!

Boone Saloon was born from a desperate need for a watering-hole that was geared for full grown adults. Sure the college kids would come – we are a college town after all. But, we needed a comfortable, clean place where conversation was revered, quality service and food was appreciated, and style was a heavy consideration.

We started with an old white oak tree that we carved out to be the 25 foot, live edge, bar. Then we tore down all the sheetrock and drop ceilings, ripped up the carpet, and let the building show itself. After we built the stage, built an outside covered deck and added our GameChanger Arcade we were ready to go.
